Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez – Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick

In honor of Selena Gomez’s new music video “De Una Vez” I wanted to share my review on the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez – Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick. On the Rare Beauty Official YouTube Channel, Selena herself explains what products she used to be featured in “De Una Vez.” One of the products that Selena wears is the Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick in the color – Thrilling. Last year, I purchased the Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick in the same color – Thrilling. First, I must say I loved the color. I currently don’t own any color like that. Thrilling is like a deep brown. As a lipstick lover, seeing a color that I don’t own, is something I felt like I had to purchase.

What I liked About The Product:

It’s lightweight. Selena’s makeup style is very natural and not heavy. The lipstick is very smooth and easy to use. I liked the wand applicator and felt like it was simple. I personal like the way the lipstick looked on my lips.

What I Disliked about the Product:

I had to apply a few layers of the lipstick to get the color as bright and vibrant on my lips. I felt like it was transferable. I would have liked it a little more dry so that if I ate something it would not get all over my lips, chin, and nose.

Overall, I liked the color. I feel like the color – Thrilling, is beautiful and something new. If anyone is looking for a extravagant deep brown color – Thrilling is it. I don’t know how often I would personally run to buy the Rare Beauty lipsticks, but I do like the colors. I would give the this product a 3.5/5 stars.

I am no scientist, skin care profession, nor makeup artist. This review is 100% my own opinion.

  1. I got one of the Lip Souffles for Christmas and it’s such a unique formula! I don’t usually like matte lip products, but I found this one comfortable. I would love to get a more everyday color to go with the one I have. Thanks for sharing your review!

  2. This color would be too dark for me – I am very fair skinned, but I would love to try one of their other colors. I haven’t tried Rare Beauty yet. Thank you for the review!
