“Crisis on Infinite Earths” is a very long comic with a lot of good details in it. I think what makes the storyline interesting is that you have the whole universe of the Justice League and so many characters built together. It starts off with the Supergirl movie, and then you have a few other movies that connect into the Infinite Crisis part. So, there is a lead-up to it; it isn’t just starting off with just part one and part two. There are other movies that connect with it, so I recommend checking all the recent animated movies from DC to catch up on that.
Overall, what I liked about part two is—because I did, and I know you probably got to see my review on part one—that basically, it wasn’t as active as part one, which I was a little disappointed in. My favorite part was getting the backstory on Supergirl. You kind of got the idea that she was depressed, she knew she wasn’t happy, and she was 50-50 on the whole thing that was happening. But you got more of an idea why it was 50-50 and what made it 50-50 for her. I kind of liked that element of bringing that back so that you kind of understood more of her side of the story than just like, “OK, throw it into it.”
You also get the backstory on the villain, which I thought was really cool, and more on Superman. Again, you got characters that you actually wanted to learn more about, and you got to learn more about them. But it was just a really slow burn, and in the last 30 minutes, it kind of picked up. It left you with a cliffhanger. There is going to be a part three, and I am curious to see it. So, so far, it’s good, but it’s still not my favorite because a lot of it did things that I wasn’t appreciative of. They could’ve spent more time on certain aspects, but it was very 50-50 for me. Overall, just my initial thoughts on the movie.
