I recently came across a suggestion on Netflix for a series called ‘Cigarette Girl,’ and despite my initial hesitation due to its association with smoking (which I don’t endorse or practice), I decided to watch the trailer. As a fan of period dramas, I thought, ‘Why not give it a try?’ The trailer intrigued me, and I found myself drawn to the pure drama it promised.
The story unfolds in Indonesia, following the journey of a female entrepreneur. Despite my initial reservations, I was captivated by the narrative, and I must admit that this series brought me to tears. It delves into themes of love, betrayal, pain, and forgiveness, offering numerous valuable lessons. The complexity of the plot is such that watching it once might not be enough to absorb all the nuances. ‘Cigarette Girl’ on Netflix is truly a hidden gem that I highly recommend. I hope more people discover and appreciate this captivating tale.
