“I found my adventures to be much better than what I had initially heard about the show online. Being an avid follower of media and HBO, as well as the DC community, I came across discussions about ‘The Shadow.’ At first, I was uncertain if it would captivate me, even with the extensive advertising. However, when the show premiered online, I decided to give it a chance. After watching the first two episodes, I was genuinely impressed. It brought back nostalgic memories of my youth, watching shows on Boomerang and Cartoon Network.
What stood out to me the most about the show was the likable characters and their development. Seeing a young Superman struggling with his identity and undergoing an emotional journey was refreshing. The dynamic between his parents was portrayed in a more positive light, unlike previous interpretations where it felt strained. This new approach resonated with me, and it’s something I believe deserves more representation in the media.
The introduction of new characters was a great addition to the show, and I hope they remain throughout the entire season. I particularly enjoyed the portrayal of a sassy and smart Lois Lane, as I looked up to her as a journalist when I was younger. The animation style was pleasing, and Jimmy’s humor added to the enjoyment as a cool friend to both Lois and Clark.
The story had a strong start, and I’m eager to see how it unfolds. Although I wasn’t a fan of the choice of villain towards the end, considering my preference for Amanda Waller from the Suicide Squad, I am looking forward to the inclusion of more Suicide Squad members. I encourage others to check out the show as well, especially since I’m eagerly awaiting the next episodes. Overall, ‘The Shadow’ has met my expectations, and I personally find it enjoyable.”
