Over the last few months, I have slowed down blogging, writing, and promoting my blog. To be honest, I needed a break. It was good to step back and relax. Mentally, I felt a little tired and I honestly did not know what to write about and did not have the energy to promote and be on social media. I felt like I needed a social media break. Yes, I am still on Instagram, but that is the main social media platform I was actually somewhat active on. The main thing I posted every now and then was some quotes or thoughts that came to mind. It’s good to take a break, as anyone who has ever learned how to break the cycle for performance anxiety, or recovered from burnout will agree. I realized during my time away that it was okay to take some time for myself and get offline. I was spending a lot of time on my phone and the internet. I was reading a lot of negative things that started making me feel negative. I basically needed to take my own advice and stay positive. I know now that if I ever need to I can take a step back and relax. I don’t want to just blog to have a blog. I started this blog because I enjoy blogging, and it feels like sometimes I’m writing journal entries that I might read later in my life. I enjoy blogging, and I didn’t want to make blogging a chore for me. So, I decided to take a break. I am so thankful to all the wonderful readers, followers, and fellow bloggers who continued to view my blog, comment, share, and retweet. I am so thankful for all the love and support. You guys are awesome! I am also excited to say that I have started a Twitch channel. Anyone that knows me personally knows I love to play video games, and I am excited to live stream sometimes when I am playing. I am back to blogging and I know if I need to I will take a break again. But for now, I am ready to write again.

I’ve taken a lot of social media breaks. I work full-time and sometimes it’s hard to balance life. work, and blogging. It’s definitely ok to take breaks when needed. I’m glad you’re ready to write again. Welcome back!
It’s so important to take care of yourself and breaks are vital. I love that you were able to step back as well as come back and now including a Twitch channel for the times you are gaming. That is so fun. Awesome! Wishing you continued success! Thank you for sharing this sincere heartfelt post. ☺️

It’s such a good idea to take a break – we all need it sometimes!
Totally agree! It’s ok to take a break. Social media can be so toxic, and I think we all need to take a break from it at times. Great post!
Oooo I need a break soon I think. I can feel it. Thank you so much for opening up this topic.
Welcome back! I have slowed down this month due to work deadlines but feel fresh now. Hope to see more articles by you.
I’m so glad your prioritised yourself and took a break, sometimes it’s exactly what we need! I can feel myself losing motivation at the moment too and I think I might end up taking a little step back as well, things are getting really hectic at the moment. Thank you so much for sharing!
Taking a break when you need one is so important! I’m so glad you realized what you needed, took a step back, then came back even stronger (Twitch account)! 🙂
I needed to hear this so badly. I have really been struggling lately to stay motivated.
