‘My Fault: London’ on Amazon Prime – A Must-Watch Romantic Drama
When My Fault first premiered on Amazon Prime, I wasn’t a huge fan. I hadn’t read the books, so I went in without expectations, but the original movie didn’t fully connect with me. However, when My Fault: London came out, I decided to give it a chance—and I’m so glad I did! This new version is a massive improvement, and I genuinely enjoyed it.
This post contains minor spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, proceed with caution!
A Fresh Take on the Story
The movie follows Noah, an 18-year-old from Florida who is taking a gap year after high school. Her mother, originally from England, elopes with a wealthy man from London, uprooting Noah’s life as they move into his lavish home. There, she meets her new stepbrother, Nick, who is arrogant and emotionally distant.
At first, Noah and Nick don’t get along, setting up an enemies-to-lovers dynamic. However, after an incident at an underground party where Noah gets drugged, Nick steps in to help, revealing a more caring side beneath his tough exterior. From there, their connection deepens as they discover a shared love for racing.
Themes of Trauma, Healing, and Growth
The movie explores heavy themes like domestic violence, PTSD, and broken family relationships. Both Noah and Nick carry emotional wounds—Noah’s father was abusive, which is why she and her mother fled to London, while Nick’s mother was an alcoholic who abandoned him as a child. These personal struggles shape their personalities, their fears, and ultimately their growth.
Things take a dangerous turn when Noah’s past catches up with her. A high-stakes street racing bet goes wrong, and in the background, a sinister figure lurks—her abusive father, who has followed her to London. This leads to a dramatic and emotional climax where Nick fights to save her.
Why This Movie Stands Out
One thing I truly appreciated was how the film handled serious topics without over-explaining or being overly graphic. You understand the trauma the characters have faced, but the movie focuses on their healing rather than dwelling on the violence.
The love story also feels more mature and thoughtful, with both characters making mistakes but learning from them. They face real consequences for their actions, making their growth feel authentic.
Another standout aspect? The female perspective. The direction, pacing, and storytelling feel uniquely attuned to the emotional depth of the characters, which makes sense given that the movie was directed by women. This representation adds a fresh and thoughtful lens to the film, especially in how it portrays Noah’s experiences.
Final Thoughts – Will There Be a Sequel?
Overall, My Fault: London was a compelling and emotional ride. The mix of romance, action, and drama kept me hooked, and I loved seeing the characters evolve. If you’re a fan of intense romance, redemption arcs, and strong female leads, this is definitely a movie to check out.
I really hope they make a part two because there’s so much potential for the story to continue! Have you seen My Fault: London? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
