Adonis is back in the ring but this time for different reasons. Fans of Creed 1 and 2 know that after Creed 2 Adonis retired to spend time with his family. Now Adonis feels forced back into the ring to finish what he has started.
What I liked
If you like Rocky movies you will like this movie. Personally, I liked how the movie was short and straight to the point. It didn’t waste time on unnecessary things and scenes that don’t matter. I liked how the characters felt the same but with character development. I liked how the story stayed focused on boxing and we got to know more about Adonis’s backstory.
What I did not like:
We really don’t need to keep having characters have children or be in a romantic relationship to have character development. I’m so over the whole of my family’s things in movies. I feel like this movie usually makes it so that characters have to have children to mature and be good people. If a character needs children to be mature it just feels like lazy writing. I feel like this character trope is boring and overused.
Overall, I did like the movie and would watch it again.
