Recently on my HBO Max subscription I found out that the new Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One and Part Two was available to watch. I had heard about these two movies from the DC community and heard it was pretty good. I was a little hesitant to watch it though due to me personally not be interested in scary movies. Though due to my love for comic book adaptions I watched the film
What I liked:
If you want to watch a good detective mystery story this is the movie for you. The whole time you are guess and wondering who is the murder and why are they murdering people only on holidays. It such an interesting story. I also enjoyed getting to see batman struggle to do what is right as he doesn’t want to harm anyone. The bonus for me was having a few fan favorite supervillains in their.
What I disliked:
I movie at times did drag just a little but overall the pacing was good. I personally think the movie could have had a third part and showed more about Selena Kyle story. She was a big part of the story but I would have liked more of her backstory because she is a big part of the murder mystery in the story.
Overall, I liked the movie and it was good to watch a DC animated movie that was just a good storyline.
