Shazam! Fury of the Gods is not the Avengers

This movie was a mess. It felt like it had 10 different storylines in one. It would start a storyline and then never finish what happened. The end fight made no sense and just felt rushed and I honestly did not feel the emotion in it. Yes, it did feel like the continuation of the first movie. I felt like the movie did have some funny moments but has way too many cheesy moments that felt forced and not really needed. The movie could have been much shorter and should have stuck to one main storyline. The first movie focused on Billy trying to find his mom and stayed with that lesson throughout and the story felt complete. This movie needs something strong like that to keep it together. They started the movie with Billy struggling with imposter syndrome and separation anxiety and then the story never really finished what happened. It just never told you how he overcame it. You have to kind of put the pieces together to figure it out. This movie had potential but just ended up falling flat. Also, a way too much magic, it felt like this movie was trying to be Harry Porter or something. It was like am I watching a hero comic book movie or something else? Also, the acting was not great. It felt like the actors couldn’t even take it seriously. It was just sad. I wish I could say more but I was disappointed. I enjoyed Black Adam way more than this movie.
