I finally got to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage! This series is such a silly yet entertaining part of the Sony Marvel Universe. I’ve watched all three movies in theaters, and getting to see the third, Venom: The Last Dance, was exciting. Overall, I feel like this final installment was the weakest of the trilogy. That said, the movie did manage to wrap up the storylines well.
One thing I missed was more emphasis on the journalism aspect, which was largely absent this time around. Instead, they introduced a family storyline that felt unnecessary and didn’t add much to the plot. There was some comic relief, but it didn’t contribute significantly to the story.
On the positive side, I enjoyed seeing the scientists try to learn more about the symbiote and delve deeper into Venom’s nature. And, of course, it was thrilling to watch the villain come to life and see how this would impact the Marvel Universe. I appreciated the military’s portrayal, too—they felt more formidable here compared to previous films.
The idea that Venom wouldn’t want the planet to be entirely taken over was a cool touch. I’ve always wanted to see Venom face off against Spider-Man, especially Tom Holland’s version, and I still hope that might happen one day. But who knows what the future holds!
Overall, Venom: The Last Dance wasn’t a terrible film. It wrapped up the trilogy in a fun, lighthearted way, and the series as a whole is just a good time.
