This series has really captured my attention. As someone who grew up watching DC’s Detective Comics, their culture, movies, and especially their animated series, I have to say—wow! These movies have truly drawn me in. While I didn’t enjoy all of them, there were definitely some I liked. For certain shows, I wasn’t much of a fan, but others really stood out to me.
This particular series is a new DC animated series, and I’ve even followed some of the panels at San Diego Comic-Con, which made it even cooler to watch the movies and hear behind-the-scenes details. This year, in particular, has been amazing. The story revolves around the concept of what happens when there are too many universes with overlapping characters. For example, imagine 300 Supermen and 200 Batmen, with all these worlds colliding. Some universes are being completely erased by the Anti-Monitor, and the main superheroes are working together to figure out how to stop it.
Supergirl feels responsible for all of this because she killed the Monitor, the character who was essentially keeping everything in balance. As a result, they’ve been trying to hide from the Anti-Monitor while figuring out how to survive. The story has become one where people are pitted against each other, fighting to survive, and no one really knows what to do.
This movie concludes six, seven, or even ten of the previous animated DC movies, tying them all together in a satisfying way. The storyline connects to Constantine, and it’s honestly such a great series. I don’t want to spoil too much, but I highly recommend watching it. It’s become one of my favorites. I’m also really looking forward to what’s next for DC animated movies because, as expected, they left this one on a cliffhanger.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to see more!
