Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot is Amazing

Last week I was able to ride the new ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot. I love going to Disney World. Since, I was little I had always wished I could go more often. As an adult I have been able to go and visit Disney World parks a few times. Earlier this year, it was announced that preview days of the ride were going to be coming soon. I was able to book one of the preview days at Epcot. The day before I was going to Epcot, I watched the movie Ratatouille. Such a childhood favorite of mine. I can remember like yesterday, when I was younger and watching the movie and at first finding it strange that a rat wanted to cook but now that I’m older I understand the lessons and the meaning of “Anyone can cook.”

Remy’s world is located by the France pavilion in Epcot. There, tourists feel like they are in France and then get to go to Gusteau’s Restaurant in Paris. The great thing about Epcot is that you get to experience a little bit of each ‘country’ you go to, so it’s ideal if you want to do some round-the-world airfare planning and need an idea of which countries to visit! If you have seen the movie, Disney did amazing job making you feel like you get to go into the world of Ratatouille. The line was only 10 minutes long because it was a preview. When you are in line you are walking the same path that Remy took in the beginning of the film to Gusteau’s restaurant.

Now to the ride. The ride is trackless and I personally like that about it as it makes you feel like you are really immersed in the movie. You are one of the rats and you follow Remy through the kitchen, the fridge, and a little around Paris. It is such an advancement of technology. Personally it’s now one of my new favorite rides. I don’t want to give too much away. But take a sneak peak look at the ride below

I had a full hour to check out the new Ratatouille world. It’s like a whole corner, with extra in the France pavilion dedicated to it. You have a crepes shop, an ice cream shop, and a few picture taking stops. In the crepes shop you get to have Ratatouille and the famous soup that was in the movie. Personally, I recommend watching the movie if you can before going on the ride. It felt like it added to the movie; like extra bonus scenes.

Now, I was going to go on the ride a second time, which ‘yes’ you are allowed to do during your hour of preview time. However, the ride unfortunately stopped and myself and all the other riders had to be evacuated off the ride. I was able to see all the behind the scenes of the ride. It was pretty cool getting to walk around the ride; and yes their was workers everywhere telling everyone that they were not allowed to take pictures of anything. Once I was evacuated off the ride, all the riders were offered to wait till the ride was able to ride again or reschedule. I rescheduled for another day to come back to Epcot and ride again. I am looking forward to going back and getting to ride again, hopefully it won’t break down this time.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens to the public on October 1, 2021.

I have been happy to be a Disney annual passholder for the past few years. I personally love getting to go to Disney. Yes, I am one of those adult Disney goers. Disney truly is a fun place to be. I am most excited for the new Tron ride and Guardians of the Galaxy ride that is due to be coming soon to Orlando, Florida. But I must say I am highly disappointed with the new Disney annual pass prices. Disney already is expensive as it is, but with these new prices it truly is really expensive. I personally don’t think I will be able to renew my pass as I was looking forward to renew and getting to ride all the new attractions. It’s sad to me that the new prices and plans are truly that expensive. I do hope that Disney sees all the negativity and truly does not raise the prices that high. It truly is wrong.

  1. Just last night I was watching a video on YouTube about this new Ratatouille adventure at Disney. I would absolutely love to go as I love the movie and it seemed like this new area was created with careful thought. I’m unlikely to ever be able to go (even though it’s on my bucket list) as the cost of flying/staying and entrance fees, etc is just not accessible. It will be a shame if Disney keep raising pass prices as it will end up discouraging regular visitors. It’s such a magical place, from what I’ve seen through other people sharing their time there, that it should be made more cost effective for as many people as possible. Lovely post — thanks for sharing!

  2. OH I love Disney too, and even more so as an adult!! Can’t wait to see this attraction the next time we go!! Thanks for sharing!

  3. This sounds like such a fun ride! I love the movie, so the ride is definitely something that I find interesting. Personally, I have never had the opportunity to visit Disney before. That being said, I really want to make it happen at some point in the near future (when we’re allowed to get out and travel again). I keep seeing people share little hints like this of what it would be like and it only makes me more excited!

  4. Wow, this sounds like so much fun. I really enjoyed this movie! So happy to hear Disney made a ride to enjoy. Thank you so much for sharing this post. Looking forward to riding it too. 😊

  7. I absolutely LOVE anything Disney! When I first heard about this ride, I was so excited! The line that you described seems pretty fun by itself with the crepe shops and soup scene. I loved the movie, so I know that I would absolutely adore this ride!

  9. What benefits do you get from being a Disney passholder? I can’t imagine a 10 minute queue for ride at Disneyland or any place like that. Normally you have to deal with an hour or more to get on a ride. It’s one of the reasons I don’t don’t to such places
